super-cuties!!!
i'm here, i'm here. i'm just not blogging. i'm working and working and working. there's just soo much to be done this time of year. with significant administrative and staffing changes, there are many adjustments to be made. the paperwork is my least favorite part of my job.
on a good note though, i have been servicing the kids for just over a week now. i'm working on building back up my "kids-all-day" energy level. once it feels normal, i'm fine. it's just the adjusting that is tough.
man do i ever have great kids though. i guess this is often true for me. but this year i've got some super-cuties!!! i have two chinese beginners and one ukrainian beginner (and by beginners i mean they only knew their name on day one!) - they are kindergarteners, super sweet and just starting the adventure of speaking english. i love this stage. it's sooo cool to see how language develops and watch their joy increase as their personalities emerge and they are able to communicate more. we are having such fun together! major bonding! :)
and amazing news: i have my best ever schedule! i still can't believe it and am half waiting for the mean grade school police to come in and tell me he's going to take away my lunch and planning period. why can't i trust something good? why am i sitting here sure that it'll vanish? why do i feel a twinge of guilt for being able to use the restroom as i need to (b/c my schedule doesn't have me running all day long) for the first year ever in seven years at this job? hmmm... i'll have to think more about this and get back to you later.
in summary, all is well. i'm happy and am loving my job once again. i'm tired, but am thinking this will pass as the work load is more normal in a couple of weeks and we've finished all of our extra evening parent nights and such.
to any friends reading this, i will start returning phone calls and making time to be social again sometime soon. i miss you.
