traveling w- someone 24/7 really shows you who you are. i´m so used to living alone and making my decisions alone and taking care of myself and thinking of myself. it´s tough work to continually be working together w- another. it´s hard to have to share decisions. it´s not easy to have to show all your moods to somebody else. it´s not easy to see all of her moods either. my traveling companion and i are getting along well. we are having fun and laughing a lot and this helps make it work. i´m learning how to share in new ways and am learning to give even when i don´t necessarily want to. this is good for me. i know i still need my alone time and i´ll work on making this happen. i´m glad for this time to grow.
Ecuador is just as lovely as I had remembered. I´m noticing new things this trip. I´m appreciating different aspects of this country and culture. It´s funny how just four years later, I feel like I´m different in many ways from the last time I was here. I like taking things in again when I´m at a new stage and time in my life. It´s a neat way to evaluate myself and reflect on my changes. It´s so good to be growing and changing. :)
