lots of house progress!

thanks to J, his dad and bro, here's the house update:

kitchen floor completely torn up (all 5! layers)
hardi backer all down and leveled new floor in kitchen
all appliances out of kitchen
wall paper completely scraped off kitchen walls

1st floor bathroom toilet and sink removed
new pipe work for sink
all linoleum up from bathroom floor
hardi backer down and floor leveled
all wall paper scraped off

carpet torn up from stairs, hallway, master bedroom and study

wall paper is coming down from 2nd floor bathroom too

they've made amazing progress so far! J is a man on a mission. i love it. :)

i'm just continually boxing and moving all items i can over. tried a bit of scraping last night, it's not my forte, to say the least.

have chosen tile for the kitchen and 1st floor bathroom and am happy w/ the decisions. we're thinking a light brown maybe "iced tea" for the kitchen walls. dreaming of a burnt copper orange color for the 1st floor bathroom walls. and have decided on an indigo hue for the 2nd floor bathroom - i say it's purple, J says it's blue- whichever way we both like the color! :)

i'm 1/2 here and 1/2 there, but so happy about it all. such an exciting time in our lives. i'm thrilled to have the time for the house renovations before i officially move in at the end of the month. speaking of which, if anyone will be in town and have a little time to spare memorial day weekend, please let me know. we'll need a few extra hands to help carry furniture. thanks! :)
