we didn't get any snow for Christmas and actually have hardly had any this winter so far. i'm not complaining however. there has been an abundance of mild days and i love this! i know that globally this isn't good news, but on a purely selfish and present-moment level i'm very glad it's not bitter cold.
went up to Toronto (my favorite city!) between Christmas and new years. it was great to be away and just enjoy different sights and sounds. i ate some amazing food there and did a little shopping and basically just relaxed. the trip was well-needed after several busy family and Christmas-filled days. Toronto has such a neat feel to it. i'm always glad to go and feel refreshed for my time spent there.
new years eve was fun. :) went out to dinner at 2 vine w/ three friends - delish! they had a special menu for the occasion. my main course was roasted duck breast. it was melt in my mouth good. mmm! then Francis and Angemala threw a great party, as usual. super food, good games, funny friends, great times!
and now it's 2007 - woo hoo! i like this new number. numbers are important to me, or rather i can get hung up on numbers easily. i like 2007. anyhow, it's a new year and i'm glad.
yesterday was my annual launching of the Christmas tree. we shot it out my 2nd floor window once again. such fun! so now i'm rearranging my living room space and trying to tidy and clean up after the holiday decor and gift piles are taken care of. living in a smallish space, if often feels like i spend much time shifting my things around. i'm due for a major purging of schtuff. it's long overdue and i can feel it bubbling up... so, if you think you might be around my size and wanna look through bags of clothes before i freecycle them or give them to the thrift shop, just give a holler. i love to share. :)
